A young boy suddenly notices a big problem — his butt has a huge crack! So he sets off to find a new one. Will he choose an armor-plated butt? A rocket butt? A robot butt? Find out in this quirky tale of a tail, which features hilarious rhymes and delightful illustrations. Children and parents will love this book — no ifs, ands, or butts about it!

I don't normally grab young children's books off Netgalley, but when I saw this one I knew my daughter would love it. While this title doesn't include any life lessons, it does pack a huge punch of laughs.

Aubrey and I giggled the whole time. This poor boy takes a look in the mirror and notices there is a crack in his butt. He is distraught and thinks he has broken it somehow. But how exactly?

We got about halfway through and Aubrey stops me to say.. "Mom! His butt is not broken. It has a crack so that he can poop! duh." Which made me laugh even harder. Butt jokes are usually a staple around our house, you would think we were raising a boy.

After he comes to terms with how this crack may have appeared, he sets off to find a new butt. I won't show you any screen shots of those, but they are pretty funny. It got Aubrey and I talking about what butts we would want if we could choose new ones. So we decided to have some fun with it.

Behold.... our new butts

Admittedly, now that I look at mine with the book slot, perhaps it's not the most appropriate kind of butt to have. I'll stress that the book slot is not for depositing. It's only for books I love to fly out of at my every whim. Same goes with the toy box butt. Every toy you can think of. lol.

I Need a New Butt was pure silliness and we loved every page. I will definitely be adding this one to Aubrey's collection for rainy days when we need a laugh. :)

So proud of her new butt. lol
