In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It's a weekly meme where we all get to brag about the books and swag we got in the mail, for review, won in contests, etc.
Life is good. We're celebrating our 2nd blogoversary (see links below or in the sidebar for giveaways!) and Jen is another year older. Also, it's Star Wars Day!!! =)
For Review:
Faking It by Cora Carmack - This is the companion novel to Losing It, which Jen loved. This is actually Cade's story. =)
The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller - Reading this for a blog tour. Sounds really cute, and we kind of want those shoes. And those legs. Geez.
All Our Pretty Songs by Sarah McCarry - So, this sounds all triangle-city but then it gets weird. We sure hope so, anyway. :)
Ink by Amanda Sun - This one sounds super intriguing, but we've seen some mixed reviews lately. Drawings that come to life? A Japanese setting? We're still willing to give it a try!
A Wounded Name by Dot Hutchison - An Ophelia retelling? Oh, hells, yeah!

Jen's Currently Reading/Listening:
I am loving this book. So funny and witty and also terribly heart-breaking. Another one of those for the "why am I just now reading this" shelf. :) Almost done and then I plan to pick up Flat-Out Matt.
Jen and I are both listening to this one. She started after me but she loved it so much that she's already passed the point I'm at. But I made her swear not to tell me her theory. Grrr. :)
The Week Ahead:
Reviews of On the Jellicoe Road (audio), Unbreakable (audio), Sweet Peril (audio), Flat-Out Love (audio), How My Summer Went Up in Flames & The Summer I Became a Nerd (for a blog tour)
As I've mentioned before, I'm one of the Elementals Virgins on the Spirit Blog Tour hosted by The Midnight Garden! You can read more about it over there, but check out this post for details on the read along I'm co-hosting with Steph from Cuddlebuggery! We'll be discussing Spark here on Sunday, May 12th. And it's not too late to sign up!!!
All those pretty hardcovers! *drool* I need to get The Eternity Cure myself - I've read the eARC but I want a finished copy to match book 1 on my shelf. And Sweet Peril!
ReplyDeleteI got Ink couple weeks ago but haven't read into it yet, and I can't wait to hear what you think of Faking It! I love the premise but I still haven't read the first book. I should've bought it when it was still self-pubbed and thus cheaper...
Awesome haul this week, girls!
