End of the World Giveaway Hop

Thursday, December 13, 2012 with 160 comments

12/21/12
The Mayan Calendar Ends!
Does it mean the end of the World?
Probably not but just in case...

Which books would you save if the world was coming to an end?

So, for the End of the World Giveaway Hop hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and My Life With Books, each participating blog is supposed to either give away "a book or books you are passionate about or a book you would keep if you were forced to flee due to imminent destruction or a book that is about the end of the world."  I don't think I could ever just grab one or two books on my way out the door, knowing I would never make it back to them and that books might be the least of my concern where I was headed.  So, I'm going to list a few of my favorite post-apocalyptic novels from this year and let one winner choose a book from the list.  (If a sequel is listed below and you haven't read the first book, you can choose that one in lieu of the second book.)

I love this genre, not because of the death and destruction but for the departure from everything we know.   These are just some of my favorite reads from this genre during the past year.

Rules:
  • This giveaway is international.  As long as The Book Depository ships to your location, you are good to go.  (You can double-check that here.)
  • One entry per household.
  • All entries will be verified.  Any entry found to be falsified will result in disqualification of all entries for that participant.
  • Winner will be notified via email.  Winner will then have 48 hours to respond before another winner will be selected.  And, people, check your SPAM folders...I've had to reach out more than once to some winners because they "didn't get the first email."  I don't want to, but I'm going to have to start just picking new winners.  :C
  • I am not responsible for lost packages.

And now on to the fun stuff!  You only have to follow my blog to enter, but all other entries/follows are appreciated!  :D

a Rafflecopter giveaway
