So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)
Beware the Ides of March! =) I've been on vacation all week and out of town for a chunk of that, so I haven't been visiting everyone, but I promise to make up for that when I get back. I've missed you guys, but it's been nice being unplugged for a bit. :D Hope you're all having a great weekend, too!
Anyway, here's what I scored this week:
For Review:
This will be me and April's first buddy read when I get back in town!!! I AM SO EXCITE! :D
Purchased:
Amazon Kindle Daily Deals!! I loved Amy & Roger's Epic Detour, and although this one's supposed to be quite sad, I'm sure I'll still love it, too. And I swore I wouldn't read The Selection unless I got it for free, but $1.99 is pretty close. I'm just too curious for my own damn good.
Reviews:
- Ashfall (April)
- Of Metal and Wishes - Review in a GIFfy (Jen)
- The Impossible Knife of Memory (Jen)
- The Sky is Everywhere - audiobook (April)
- Murder of Crows (Jen)
Promotional/Discussion Posts: Our favorite contemporary novels, Announcement from author Sarah Fine regarding future of her next book
Jen's Currently Reading/Listening To:
I may have finished this by the time Saturday rolls around, but as I'm on vacation, I don't know what I'll be reading next. But just know that you MUST read this book. I knew I'd like it, but damn! I can't remember the last time a book did this to me!
Still in the middle of my re-listen for this one. Might finish it on the way down to Austin. If that's the case, you can probably already guess which book I'll be listening to next. :)
Since I'm on vacation, I have no idea what I'll be reviewing next week because I have no idea what I'll be reading while I'm gone. I'm taking quite a few books with me, plus my Kindle, of course, but I'm just gonna see where the mood takes me. =)

I was really disappointed by Second Chance Summer, especially I'm a huge daddy's girl and expected to put through the emotional shredder. My problem was with the MC - she felt so disconnected from everything, and that in turn distanced me from the story. :/
ReplyDeleteLauren is letting me borrow her ARC of Open Road Summer, so I'm reading that today. Soooo excited!
I loved The Selection so much, really looking forward to being able to binge read the entire series soon! New follower, hi!
