I got the kindle version of The Distance Between Us because I heard Kasie West is awesome, and plus I have On the Fence and I believe these characters make a short appearance.. I think. I swore I saw a goodreads status saying so, and I'm anal and need to read everything in order. Also, Second Chance Summer takes place in a lake community much like mine in the Pocono Mountains of Pa. Since that's where I live, I'm curious to read this one. And I had to snatch up the Audio for Scorpio Races. Jen has gotten me addicted to listing to Audio in my car. So much so, that $14.95 every month to keep up with audible is looking more and more appealing. lol. :)
KASIE WEST IS AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all her books and hope you like them too. Looking forward to the reviews!
You live in the Poconos? I've always wanted to go there.
I'm am so addicted to audiobooks! I got 9 new audiobooks last week. In my defense, some were for review, some were on sale, some were bought with credits and the others I got from the BOGO sale. I love listening to them while driving or doing chores. I have a 2 credits per month membership on one account...and I have a second account for one more credit. I'm hooked!
So worth it though, you should definitely try out the membership. They randomly send me $10 credits every one in a while and if you don't like the book, you can return it :)
Yup!!! The Poconos are boring. lol. You aren't missing much! But I think everyone says that about their home towns. Living around here, I can't imagine why people would ever want to vacation here. About half of the homes in my development are vacation rentals. we have a huge lake for fishing, swimming, a pool, the works. Tourist everywhere all summer long! Plus we have skiing in the winter. It''s nice I guess, but I'd rather go to the beach! lol
Deleteoooh, and I did sign up for Audible last night, I got the two credits as well, because it just made more sense, more for your money. I tried the 30 days free with a free credit and now I'm hooked! And that's good to know that they let you return them, because I'm still new to the whole audio book thing, and if I get a narrator I absolutely hate I might just pass and buy the ebook instead. :)
Really? Audible is only $15 a month? I might need to look into that...I'd love to listen to more audios, I'm just really limited with my library. THIS COULD BE BRILLIANCE.
ReplyDeleteIt is! well for one credit a month.. I opted for the two credits, so my payment is 22 dollars. More for my buck! :) There is a 30 days free trial, you get a free credit! you could give it a try! :o)
DeleteI'm like, EVERYONE SIGN UP BECAUSE I DID! LOL.
I haven't read Kasie West either but I have The Distance Between Us on my TBR mountain and got On the Fence for review too. Can't wait until that one reaches to top of the stack. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYes YES YES for The Distance Between Us. I haven't picked it up, but Kasie is an amazing author and Pivot Point is a MUST!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading
My Haul: http://wwwthebookshelves.blogspot.com/2014/03/new-to-shelves-52.html
I have Audible! I love it, but I just switched from the two credits to one credit because I have an obnoxious amount of unread audiobooks.
ReplyDeleteALSO! The Distance Between Us is soooooo good and yes I can confirm that characters make an appearance in On The Fence.
I am curious about Second Chance Summer. I've heard it's sob worthy.
ALSO! The Scorpio Races! I love that book!
Oooh, good haul this week. I hope you enjoy them! My STS
