So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)
What a long week! I thought it would never end! :P But the weekend is finally here, and I'm going to meet Victoria Scott again this weekend at her launch party for Fire & Flood. So, I guess you could say the weekend was worth the wait. :D
Anyway, here's what I scored this week:
For Review:
Purchased:
I think there's a companion story that comes before this one, but I haven't read it yet. Got this for $1.99 for my Kindle, so I don't think I'll worry about reading them out of order this time. :)
So, that's my haul. How about you? What did you get this week?
Reviews:
- Something Real (Jen)
- The Secret Diamond Sisters (April)
- A Little Too Far (April)
- Side Effects May Vary (Jen)
- Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - audio (Jen)
- Hollow City - audio (Jen)

Jen's Currently Reading/Listening To:
Finished up Nantucket Red earlier this week and immediately jumped into this one. Cricket kind of bothers me, but I'm having fun with the story.
I needed something serious to counteract the not-serious-whatsoever vibe I'm getting from the Nantucket books. Plus, this was still sitting on my ARC shelf and I'm trying to clear that sucker off or at least prepare for the summer reads I need to get to. :)

A Long Way from You was good. I don't think you need to read them in order. They pretty much stand on their own. I picked up The Here and Now too because I was invited and it sounded good. I hope it is. :) Here's my STS. I'll have to check out a couple of your reviews from last week. Have a great upcoming week!
ReplyDeletelots of good stuff. Hope you are enjoying the Impossible Knife of Memory. I loved it. I also loved Mad Wicked Folly.
ReplyDeleteI passed on The Here and Now. The description was not screaming at me. A long Way From You sounds cute though. I don't know if the one before it is a companion or not. I didn't even realize it was the same author. Where I Belong is the other one, I haven't read it yet though. I got it on sale for 1.99 kindle deal. maybe I'll snatch this one up too! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Here and Now currently, and so far, so good!
ReplyDeleteWho does the audio for Miss Peregrine? I've had that book on my TBR forever but saw that Kriby does the audio for book 2. I'm not a big fan of his voice/accent.
ReplyDeleteYou get to meet Victoria??? So awesome!
Enjoy!
Ooh, I'm SO looking forward to your review of Plus One! (No, it's not because I just think the cover is super cool, not at all.) But you're going to meet Victoria Scott? *fangirls quietly* YOU ARE SO LUCKY. Do we get to see pictures of this meeting? Preeetty please?
ReplyDeleteNice haul! I absolutely love the look of Plus One and the cover is absolutely gorgeous too. I hope you enjoy your books :) My STS.
ReplyDeleteI was offered The Here and Now too but couldn't accept. I already have too many review books coming out at the same time frame. I hope you enjoy it. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all of your lovely new reads, I love the SNL gif :) My STS
ReplyDeleteI hope the launch party was awesome. How fun! I'm excited for The Here and Now. I loved the Sisterhood books, although I didn't like either of her books outside of the series. We'll see how it goes. I think I own the companion to A Long Way From You, but haven't read it. Lol. Hope your weekend was splendid.
ReplyDeleteThe Here and Now is the popular book going around right now it seems. Hope you like it. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteHere are my newest additions .
