So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)
I cannot believe it's already December, that the end of the year is already here...not to mention how unprepared I am for any of it! We got the tree up last night, but I haven't had a chance to get a good pic of it yet. I did get some shots of Katie playing in the leaves last weekend and of the lights on the outside of the house. We had planned to add more lights this year, but as I said, the unpreparedness right now is monumental.
We're working on it, though. =)
Anyway, here's what I scored this week:
For Review:
Every Word by Ellie Marney - I purchased the Aussie edition a few weeks ago but I haven't gotten to it yet. And now I have an ARC of the US edition! Plus TimTams!!!! Thank you so much to Ellie and Sylvia for sending such a wonderful package! I know what I'll be reading this weekend! :D
The Remedy by Suzanne Young - I loved The Program duology, and I am super excited for this prequel story!
The Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton - More fantasy goodness, yay! I love the idea of these characters having a destiny that turns out to be nothing like what they were expecting.
Freebies:
Marked by Sarah Fine - I will seriously read anything and everything this woman writes. So, when I saw that I could get this book for free this month thanks to Amazon Prime, I did not hesitate to click that little button.
Purchased:
Ravencliffe by Carol Goodman - I've seen very little regarding this sequel to last year's Blythewood, but I loved that book and the world that resides in it, and I just had to know what becomes of Ava.
So, that's my haul. How about you? What did you get this week?
The Week in Review:
Reviews:
- This Shattered World - GIFfy (Jen)
- My True Love Gave to Me - audio (Jen)
- Dash & Lily's Book of Dares - audio (April)
Coming soon...
Promotional/Discussion Posts:
- Our Christmas TBRs - the Christmas-themed books we hope to read/listen to this December
- We've Got Grabby Hands - the top ten books set for release in 2015 that we just can't wait to get our hands on
- Waiting on Wednesday - this week we're waiting on The Secrets We Keep & The Trouble with Destiny
- Kiddie Cover Art - our girls recreate the cover for My True Love Gave to Me
This is a super-cute story that takes place all in one night...and on Christmas Eve, no less! I'll definitely be checking out the author's other books -- under this name and her NA under her pseudonym. =)
Finishing up Top Ten Clues and then I'm diving into this Christmas story. I am having so much fun with all of these holiday reads, and they are so putting me in the right frame of mind for this time of year. :DLike honest reviews & giveaways? Timtams are the best! So jealous of your ARC. I'm reading Every Breath right now, and OMG. So good. I hope you'll enjoy. :)
