"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's WoW selection is...

Add to Goodreads
Title: Enders
Author: Lissa Price
Series: Starters and Enders, book #2
Publisher: Delacorte BFYR
Publication Date: January 7, 2014

With the Prime Destinations body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn't want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save Callie's life - but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena's memories, too ...and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body? This is the thrilling sequel to "Starters".

I feel like I've been waiting on this book forever.  Probably doesn't help that it got pushed back.  Also, I should've known they'd change the covers.  I don't mind the new covers, but I liked the original cover for Starters better.  I actually might DL the audio for Starters since it's been so long...I feel like this is one book where I definitely need a refresher.  I do remember the Old Man being pretty freaking creepy, though.

Now that you know what I'm dying to read, what are you waiting on this week?  Feel free to share it in the comments or leave a link so I can stop by!

  1. I never got to finish reading Starters (I start books and then completely forget about them *sad face*), but I'll probably read them once Enders comes out! Although I did like the other cover, I think I like the new ones better.. they're more colorful and the original cover for Starters REALLY creeped me out, haha. xD

  4. I still need to read the first book but at least that will shorten my wait for the sequel which lately I have no patience for. I hate all the cover changes. Okay for paperback but when my books don't match I get so mad!

  5. I like the new covers for this series. Since I don't own the first book I won't have to worry about them not matching which is a pretty big pet peeve of mine.

  8. Even though I didn't LOVE Starters (I rated it 3 stars), I am still eager to read the sequel.

  9. I haven't read Starters yet, but I have heard good things. It sucks this got pushed back. I almost always have to revisit the first book unless I was smart enough to wait for all of the books in a series to come out before starting it (which I rarely ever am). Great pick! Hope you are able to get this soon.

  11. Oh, I didn't know that this had a date -- it was pushed back a year, I think???
Yeah, not such a fan of either cover, but I'll probably give this a try!

  12. I remember the first book of the series but I haven't read it because I wasn't convinced that this was the thing for me. Seeing you so 'I can't wait' about the sequel makes me re-think that decision though... ;)
    Thanks for stopping by earlier!
