Debut Author Challenge 2012

I've never participated in the Debut Author Challenge (hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren) before, but no time like the present, right?  And what better way to congratulate myself at the end of the year for reading books I had already planned to read?  :D

I've challenged myself to read 12 books from the 2012 DAC list, one per month.  I'm sure I'll have no problem meeting this goal.  In fact, I'm sure I'll surpass it.  And my good friend Michele from A Belle's Tales is going to buddy read this challenge with me, so we'll help keep each other on track.

Here are the twelve novels* we decided on for this challenge:
  1. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi - finished 1/15/12
  2. Everneath by Brodi Ashton
  3. Incarnate by Jodi Meadows - finished 2/3/12
  4. Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
  5. Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
  6. Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock - finished 6/3/12
  7. The Treachery of Beautiful Things by Ruth Frances Long
  8. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
  9. Above by Leah Bobet
  10. Of Poseidon by Anna Banks - finished 5/17/12
  11. The Gathering Storm by Robin Bridges
  12. Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
  13. Fracture by Megan Miranda - finished 1/7/12
  14. The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg - finished 2/9/12
  15. Illuminate by Aimee Agresti - finished 2/17/12
  16. The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda
  17. Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo - finished 5/20
  18. Starters by Lissa Price - finished 3/10/12
  19. Slide by Jill Hathaway - finished 3/12/12
  20. Enchanted by Alethea Kontis - finished 4/18/12
  21. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - finished 5/25/12
  22. Something Like Normal by Trish Doller
  23. Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne
  24. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick - finished 5/31/12
  25. Struck by Jennifer Bosworth
*This list is subject to change, or more likely, grow longer and longer as the year progresses.

Are you participating in this challenge?  Are there any other challenges we should partake in?  I, myself, am considering the 2012 Sophomore Reading Challenge because I was already planning on reading a lot of second novels from authors whose writing I fell in love with last year.  And then there's Fiktshun's Soul Screamers Reading Challenge.  I've already read all of that series to-date, but it would be a great refresher for the release of Before I Wake this summer.  Decisions, decisions.

  1. I'm doing the sophomore reading challenge, and the contemporary challenge in addition to the debut challenge. I don't have a blog, but I am following along on Goodreads.
