So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)
Anyway, enough with the pity party. Here's what I scored this week:
For Review:
It's a Wonderful Death by Sarah J. Schmitt - this sounds cute and funny
Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman - a Blackbeard origin story!!!
Library:
My library just uploaded a ton of new books to their website this week, so I grabbed as many as my checkout limit would allow, natch. =) And all audio, of course, because that's how I roll, especially when it comes to non-review books. :)
Purchased:
Darken the Stars by Amy A. Bartol - I already read this and it's great, especially the romantic angle, but it can't really be the final book in this series, can it?!?
So, that's my haul. :) How about you? What did you get this week?

It's that time of year again...the time when all I want to do is curl up with a creepy book. And Nightfall sounds like the creepiest! I'm only just starting this, but I'll definitely be reading by candlelight for maximum creepiness. My experience and tour post will be up next week.
Everyone and their mama is raving over this book, which I knew next to nothing about, so when the audio was made available through my library, I snagged it. I hope I love it as much as everyone else!

Oh no! I'm sorry you're having a rough go of it. You need someone to talk to I'm here. I am soooo curious about Blackhearts. My request is still pending. I'm with you--I read or watch tv when life has me down. Lately I've been watching New Girl. I'm not even sure I really love the show but I keep coming back so that's something.
ReplyDeleteSorry that RL has been such a bummer. I totally get that RL can weigh you down, but you got some great books.

Everything, Everything was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading. :)
Curious to hear about Black Hearts. Enjoy this awesome bunch.
ReplyDeleteAlso, watching some comedy either a movie or some on youtube is a good way to get some laughs to lift the spirits.
ReplyDeleteBlack Hearts is one I got recently as well and can't wait for! Great haul this week!

I'm sorry real life is kicking your ass. I know we're just internet friends, but you can email me if you need to vent.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the cover to Blackhearts and have Slasher Girls checked out from the library right now, too. Have you read any of it yet?
Hope this week is much better!
