Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome ladies at The Broke and the Bookish. Apparently, they are overly fond of list-making and love to share their bookish lists with the rest of us book nerds.  =) We're game.

This week's topic is the Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To:

April's Picks:

I so badly wanted to get to all of these books this year, but it just didn't happen. I have plans to slip a few of them into my schedule soon though. :)

Jen's Picks:

I was so much better in 2014 at prioritizing what I read. I made sure I got to most everything I was dying to read, whether I received it for review or not, and I opted not to read/review some books that I probably should have. Still, this is only a hobby and I'm not obligated to read anything, so I'm going to continue reading what I want, schedule be damned, because it made me a much happier reader last year. The books listed above just simply slipped through the cracks, though I own 60% of them. :( Two of those are series finales, though, and I often delay those just because of the feels.

Which hot releases did you miss out on last year? Be sure to share a link to your TTT post so we can visit!

  1. Oh my gosh Jen, you must read Stolen Songbird, CoHF and To All the Boys!! And April needs to read Isla~ All those were fantastic! Hope you'll both love them. Snow Like Ashes is one I haven't gotten to but desperately want to start.

  2. I really didn't like Anna and the French Kiss, so there's no way Isla would've made it on my list! I completely understand the end of series pain though. Then I need to re-read the rest of the series, and cry some more, and pick up on all those little things that were wrapped up in the end. It takes up so much time! Here's my list if you're interested: https://victoriajaynesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/01/13/top-ten-tuesday-6/

  3. Oh there are so many books here that I wanted to add to my list too. I still actually haven't read Lola and the Boy Next Door...but I own it (and Isla). I like to save books like that for reading slumps - they always pull me out of it. Great post :)

  4. Oh, Isla! I loved it so much.

I had a difficult time finishing series in 2014, too. I still need to get to City of Heavenly Fire. And the last Mara Dyer book. And at least three other series.

So many books, so little time!

  5. Bitter Greens is so, so good. One of my favorite novels of 2014, for sure.
The Winner's Curse and To All the Boys I've Loved Before and Free to Fall were all books that I also enjoyed reading last year.
Hope you ladies are able to get to some of these soon!

  6. Isla is so lovely, as I'm sure you're expecting. I hope you get to read it soon. Sinner is on my list as well. I have been doing a reread of the series, so I should get to it in the next couple of weeks. I was given The Ring and the Crown for my birthday last year but never got to it. I hope we both get to read it soon. :)

  8. Side Effects May Vary was one of my favorite books of 2014! I loved Snow Like Ashes and This Shattered World and Captive was fantastic! City of Heavenly Fire was a very satisfying ending to the Mortal Instruments series. I was happy. I really want to read Forbidden and Stolen Songbird. I hope you get to read these soon!

  12. Lots of books here I've been reading good reviews of! (Sorry, the grammar in that sentence leaves something to be desired, but you know what I mean.) I've got a fair few of these on various TBR and "someday" lists, but none made my TTT list for this week. There are just too darn many good books out there!
