I got some great books this week, people. But I started a Fall Challenge -- my first ever -- and so as part of this challenge, I'm trying to use books I already own to complete it. I've already picked my books for the challenge, which spans the months of September through November and requires nine books, and I only had to purchase two books. I would say I'm proud of myself, but I also bought books that weren't on my list. Oy.
Okay on to the spoils:
For review:
The Mephisto Covenant by Trinity Faegen
Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Purchased:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick
Hades by Alexandra Adornetto
The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore/James Frey, et al.

Audiobooks:
Eon, Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman
Eona, The Last Dragoneye by Alison Goodman

Swag:
Dog tag for pre-ordering Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick
Signed bookmarks for
Witch Eyes by Scott Tracey

What did you get in your mailbox this week?
P.S. I'll be reading, reviewing and giving away a copy of
The Perks of Being a Wallflower for Banned Books week, so check back for that.

Leap Into Books Giveaway Hop {US}
For this giveaway, I'm continuing my trend of getting rid of books I've either already read and don't plan to re-read or books that I own but don't anticipate reading any time in the near future for whatever reason. So, here's what I have up for grabs for the Leap Into Books Giveaway Hop:
I read the first book prior to seeing the movie, and I enjoyed it enough to purchase the second book, but that was right around the time I had to start scheduling my reading time, and I've just never been able to fit it in. And I'd much rather both books get read than continue to collect dust on my shelf. =)
Thanks for entering & happy reading!

Awhile on the Pile #10: The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore
Here's the book I chose to give some extra love this week:
Author: Pittacus Lore
Series: Lorien Legacies #2
Publisher: HarperCollins
Publication Date: August 23, 2011
Nine of us came here, but sometimes I wonder if time has changed us—if we all still believe in our mission. How can I know? There are six of us left. We're hiding, blending in, avoiding contact with one another . . . but our Legacies are developing, and soon we'll be equipped to fight. Is John Number Four, and is his appearance the sign I've been waiting for? And what about Number Five and Six? Could one of them be the raven-haired girl with the stormy eyes from my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I could ever imagine? The girl who may be strong enough to bring the six of us together?
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio—and failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.
And I'm ready to fight.
I enjoyed I am Number Four well enough, and the movie was decent. But when I realized The Power of Six was from Seven's POV, I was more than a little intrigued. She's only a secondary character in the first book, but she wasn't minor by any means.
I know ARCs of The Rise of Nine are out in circulation, so I'd like to get to this one soon so I can finish up the series this year. (It's only supposed to be the three books, right?) I'm even considering listening to the audio for The Power of Six just so that I can mark it off my to-read list. Plus, I've heard that this second installment is better than the first. Can anyone speak to that?
What book do you wish you could make time for?
