In My Mailbox #78

Saturday, April 20, 2013 with 14 comments

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.  It's a weekly meme where we all get to brag about the books and swag we got in the mail, for review, won in contests, etc.

Here's our haul...it's a doozy this week, but at least there are two of us tackling the TBR pile now!  =)

Project CainBang (Visions, #2)Elemental (Elemental, #0.5)Breathless (Elemental, #2.5)
Crash (Visions, #1)Eleanor & ParkTwice Tempted (Night Prince, #2)

For Review:

The Program by Suzanne Young - A world without emotions...that seems boring interesting.  I liked the author's other series, so I'm excited to see what she does with a dystopian world.

Belladonna by Fiona Paul - I liked Venom quite a bit and am interested to see what happens between Cassandra, Falco and Luca and finding out what the deal is with the Book of The Eternal Rose.

Project Cain by Geoffrey Girard - Cloning, serial killers, and a boy fighting his instincts to become evil.  Yes, please!  The WoW gods have smiled upon me once again.  :)

Bang by Lisa McMann - After listening to Crash this week, I knew I had to get my hands on this sequel. Especially after the ending in the first book!

Elemental & Breathless by Brigid Kemmerer - I just HAD to get these as part of the Elementals Read Along...and I'll be reviewing Elemental (Elementals #0.5) tomorrow for Short Story Sunday

Gifted/Won:

These Broken Stars by Meagan Spooner & Amie Kaufman - won from Wendy at The Midnight Garden - Look at the beautimous cover!  And it's about star-crossed lovers in space!!!

The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson - signed copy gifted by Em at Book Jems - Em knows my 2nd blogoversary is approaching and she knows I LOVELOVELOVE Rae Carson's books.  Now I'm even more excited to get to my copy of The Bitter Kingdom!

Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers - signed copy gifted by Em at Book Jems - Same as TGoFaT...and Em told me Robin even knows who I am!!!!  Squeeeeee!

Audiobooks Purchased:

Crash by Lisa McMann - I've been meaning to pick this one up forever, and it was a really quick listen.  Mendy's currently listening to this one, so maybe we'll do a review battle.  ;)

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell - Finished this one on Thursday.  Pretty cute.  I don't think I'll be gushing as much as some but I definitely enjoyed it.  Some of the 80s references had me smiling.

Twice Tempted by Jeannine Frost - Figured it was about time I got back to Vlad and Leila's adventures...since I'm still waiting on more Cat and Bones  :D

So, that's our haul.  How about you?  What did you get this week?

It was finally time to get back to the flammable Vlad and the shocking Leila and whatever new trouble they're in.  (See what I did there?)

I really wish I had read Venom when it came out because it looks pretty good. The Program and All These Broken Stars look interesting, and I have The Girl of Fire and Thorns. At least I'm not the only one who hasn't read this series lol :)
