So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)I'm late posting this week because today is a lazy day. Took the kiddo to Nana's this morning and the hubby was working, so I was just kinda taking it easy. :D :D :D
So, I mastered my fear this week and went to the #PenguinTeenOnTour stop here in Dallas on Tuesday. And I'm really glad I did because it was awesome. :) Otherwise, it was a pretty quiet week around here. Mostly played catch up at work after having a couple of days off last week for Easter.
Okay, okay. On to the books. Here's what I scored this week...
From Publishers:
Romeo and Juliet meets Indiana Jones? YES, PLEASE!!!
Everything points to me loving this book. Especially the comparison to The Princess Bride. But also the fact that three amazing authors collaborated to bring this book to us.
Got this unsolicited package from Harper this week, and I don't know much about either book, but I'm always happy to find new reads. =)
Traded:
I just put up a new #booksfortrade | Have You Seen This? post, updating what I have left and some new additions, plus a spreadsheet with my trades and wishlist available. I'm still looking for a few high profile ARCs, like The Rose & the Dagger, The Near Witch, and Throne of Glass, plus some other 2016 releases.
Purchased:
Of course, I had to get a copy of the final book in The Winner's Curse trilogy. I've already listened and loved it. Such a great conclusion!
Okay, so I owned most of these, but I did pick up HCs of Rebel of the Sands and Wink Poppy Midnight at the Dallas stop of #PenguinTeenOnTour. And I got all of my books signed by Alwyn Hamilton, April Genevieve Tucholke, Alison Goodman, Rachel Hawkins, and Sabaa Tahir. The link to my event post and interview with Rachel is below. Suffice it to say, it was an amazing and FUN event.
Gifted:
My absolutely AMAZING friend Sabrina always sends me the best packages. This month she sent me much-coveted ARCs of Open Road Summer and The Darkest Part of the Forest, a hardcover of Crown of Midnight that I desperately needed for my Sarah J. Maas collection, and she also surprised me with the UK ARC of When We Collided, which OMG IS GORGEOUS.
Library:
Nothing. Yeah, I'm still crying about it. :(
My library card is expired. I use the capital's library, and unfortunately, they've reinstated the non-resident fee. Which happens to be $120/annually. That seems a little high to me...like, maybe just ask for a donation? I'd be all for that. My own local libraries, of which there are two I have access to, are very, very small with little selection. I told you I live in a town of less than 2000, right? And we don't even have our own library. We share with the neighboring city, and I'm also allowed to visit the county library, but it's located in a town of only 5k. And neither library uses Overdrive. :( :( :( So you can see my dilemma.
So, that's my haul. =) What fabulous bookmail did you get this week?

Currently Reading:
I didn't have much time for reading this week, so I'm only about 80% through Ever the Hunted, but I pretty much love it. I'd love it more if I hadn't had to read it a bit here and a bit there, but still. This is definitely my kind of story.
Currently Listening:
I just finished several re-listens this week, plus the final book in The Winner's Curse trilogy, so I'm in between audiobooks again. Without access to a library, I have to be really selective with how I use my Audible credits, and though I have many, many books on my wishlist, I'm waiting for some new releases.

It's nice to just relax now and then. We all need that or we'd go crazy. LOL And wowza! That's a nice haul of books to keep you busy reading for a while.

That is so sad! I honestly don't know what I would do if I couldn't go to the library. Considering that the majority of the books I read come from the library. Hope that you get it all sorted out!
