So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)So, last week I was lamenting that I might be getting sick. And I was. And then my daughter got sick and the so did my husband, so we've pretty much all spent the week bedridden and feeling awful. I only worked two days this week, between my own recovery and my daughter's, and you can tell from the blog because it's been rather quiet around here. We're all feeling much better now, though, so things should be back to normal after this weekend.
Okay, okay. On to the books. Here's what I scored this week...
From Publishers:
I cannot wait to listen to this full cast audio! Grimm's Fairy Tales narrated by some of my favorite narrators of ever? Yes, please!!!
Traded:
Thanks for the awesome trade, Aila! I can't wait to re-read before Blood for Blood!!!
I just put up a new #booksfortrade | Have You Seen This? post, updating what I have left and some new additions, plus a spreadsheet with my trades and wishlist available. I'm still looking for a few high profile ARCs, like The Rose & the Dagger, The Near Witch, and Throne of Glass, plus some other 2016 releases.
Won/Gifted:
Look what I won from the awesome Roshani Chokshi!!!! I already read and loved this book, but I can't wait to hear the gorgeous words on audio!!! :D :D :D
Library:
So, that's my haul. =) What fabulous bookmail did you get this week?

Promotional/Discussion Posts:
- #WoW - Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
Currently Reading:
I'm between books, but up next should be Wild Swans and Devil and the Bluebird. Looking forward to both of those!!! =)
Currently Listening:
I just finished several re-listens again this week, including The Wrath and the Dawn and A Court of Thorns and Roses to prepare for the sequels, so I'm in between audiobooks once again. Without access to a library, I have to be really selective with how I use my Audible credits, and though I have many, many books on my wishlist, I'm waiting for some new releases.

I hope you are feeling a little better now. My whole family was sick a few weeks back and it was miserable! As the mom, we don't really take sick days. We still have to get food on the table, drive everyone around, and at least do some laundry. I love the GIF! You have a nice, fun format for your blog!
ReplyDeleteEveryone is MUCH better now, thanks! It's awful when EVERYONE is sick for exactly the reasons you listed. Mom still has to be mom. But I got sick first so they took care of me when I was at my worst. :)
DeleteI neeed to read Wolf by Wolf! I've had the arc sitting on my shelf. P.S. I Like You looks good too.
ReplyDeleteMy Stacking the Shelves
I see a lot of people all of a sudden deciding to read Wolf by Wolf and it makes me so happy. It was a really awesome, unique read. And P.S. I Like You was adorable. I'd say that if you liked The DUFF, you'll like it.
DeleteI'm glad everyone's feeling so much better. It's sucks when the same virus gets passed around the household.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
It's the absolute worst. But we're all on the mend now. It's still going around work, though. :(
DeleteAwesome haul of books this week. I'm glad to hear that everyone is feeling better. Being sick is no fun at all.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thanks. And no joke...being sick is the worst. :(
DeleteThe Star Touched Queen sounds so good! I've got an ARC of Wolf by Wolf, I need to hurry up and read it! Great haul!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Sunday Post
It is! I read a galley already and the audio is even better, if that's possible! I hope you love it and Wolf by Wolf when you get to it!
DeleteI would use your sister's account. You're family and I don't see it as being wrong - hope I don't get bashed for that one. My husband and I just share a card at our library because you can have out like 100 things at a time and they don't care. It's easier to keep track of one card and all the things that go with it.
ReplyDeleteHeh, okay. I feel a little better about it now. I only borrow digitally, so it's not like I'm keeping physical books out of other people's hands. And I agree that it would be easier to keep track of items...I had already considered letting my 8yo daughter borrow some books on my account, so this is essentially the same.
DeleteI'd say "Go for it!" about using your sister's card to get books. My fiance' lives across the country from me in Spokane. I used to use his card to check out eBooks on Overdrive.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I'd be doing...just ebooks and audiobooks via the Overdrive app. Thanks for making me feel a little better about it. ;) And wow, that is a true long-distance relationship! I wish y'all the best!
