Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome ladies at The Broke and the Bookish. Apparently, they are overly fond of list-making and love to share their bookish lists with the rest of us book nerds.  =) We're game.

This week's topic is the Top Ten Characters You'd Like To Check In With (meaning, the book or series is over and you so just wish you could peek in on the "life" you imagine they are leading years down the line after the story ends):

April's Picks:

There are so many I could have come up with, but these are the top ten that I could think of at the moment. :)

Jen's Picks:

I know the topic is characters we'd like to check in with, but I made this all about couples for some reason. Like, I appreciate where they left off in their relationships in each of these books -- or in the final book of the series -- but I always want to know if it lasted. Or maybe I don't, since some of these couples didn't have very defined relationships by the time all was said and done. I am still very curious, though, to see if any of these couples worked long-term. =)

This week's topic is the Top Ten Characters You Wish Would Get Their OWN book.

April's Picks:

I'm having such a hard time with this topic, which is silly because I've read so many books where I thought, wow, I wish that character had a book of their own. Now I can't think of hardly any, but here are a few.

Renesmee!!!

I don't think I need to mention where she's from at this point. lol. If that book is ever written, I'm taking a vacation day and binge reading it day of release.

The Spawn of Harry and Ginny. Pretty please J.K. Rowling. Make this happen someday.

Prim! There is so much that goes on in The Hunger Games Trilogy, and so much of it ultimately revolves around Katniss's love for Prim. I feel like there is so much more to her than her sister though, and I would love to read the books from her point of view.

Lilah Montgomery from Open Road Summer by Emery Lord. There is no movie for this one so I had to improvise on gifs. I loved her, and I feel like there is a whole story following this one that could be told from her point of view. She has an interesting life. :)

Corbin from Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover.

Corbin is Tate's brother and I really want his story!!! I was looking for a sexy pilot gif, but then I saw that and I couldn't resist. lol.

Jen's Picks:

This was a difficult topic for me, as well, but then I started looking at my favorites shelf on Goodreads and realized that there are quite a few characters I'd like to see get their own books. The one I most wanted to see get his own story was Tim from My Life Next Door, but his book is already in the works! Yay! Also, I know that Zuzana got her own novella, or rather, she and Mik both did, but I want a whole book about her. =)

This week's topic is the Top Ten Characters Who I Would Totally Want To Be For Halloween. Since we already did a post recommending spooky reads, we decided to go with book-inspired costumes for this week's Top Ten Tuesday post.

April's Picks:
Sydney
Wanda
 Anna
 Cassia

Lola

Jen's Picks:

I tend to go for costumes that are easily recognizable...I hate that awkward period where someone's trying to guess who you're supposed to be and then ends up guessing something that's vaguely insulting. But I've always wanted to dress like a character from a book, and I don't just mean Alice in Wonderland like my older sis always does. So, below I've picked some characters that I would love to dress up as if I didn't feel the need to worry about being identifiable.

I have always adored Audrey Hepburn, so yeah, this costume is tops on my want-to-be list.

LoveloveLOVE Veronica's snark. Always have. Always will. I think I'll probably rewatch the movie for the tenth time this week. =)

Chick is fierce, even in the face of certain death. Also, this is my favorite movie of EVAR!

Another fierce heroine to look up to. Also, that jacket looks like it has huge pockets for all that Halloween candy. =)

Are you sensing a pattern yet? :P Man, I don't just wish I could dress as Hermione...I want to be her.

Top Ten Tuesday: Our Lunch Table Homies

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome ladies at The Broke and the Bookish. Apparently, they are overly fond of list-making and love to share their bookish lists with the rest of us book nerds.  =) We're game.

This week's topic is the Top Ten Characters That Would Be Sitting At My Lunch Table -- you know...back to school theme.

April's Picks:

Very much of my lunch table used to consist of Drama, Choir, Band, and Geeks. Or those of us that didn't fit into a mold. I tried to stick with that theme. This one was hard!

While putting this together, I remembered I have a picture of my lunch table from the 9th grade.

I'm the girl with food hanging out of my mouth. lol. I was so classy back then!

Jen's Picks:

I'm not even brave enough to dig up an old high school picture, especially at lunch time, so my list will have to suffice. =)

I kind of went a little overboard, but we always had a really full lunch table, anyway, so whatevs. I think it's pretty self-explanatory why I picked each of these characters -- or couples, in some cases -- but my picks are based on sense of humor, how interesting they are, how brainy they are, etc. Definitely a mixed bag, very much like the lunch table back when I was in school. :D

This week's topic is the Top Ten Characters We Would Want With Us On A Deserted Island:

April's Picks:

Jen added her's first so I had to go ahead and be fancy too! I used a shot from our vacation in Bermuda this year. So those are my picks.. and here is why. :)

Katniss - She has mad skills and will catch me dinner
TJ - He's been there, done that. He knows what he's doing and he's pretty to look at.
Lynn - That woman knows a thing about sanitizing water. Who wants the shits? Not this girl.
Ash - He's all cold and shit! I want ice cubes in my fruity drink I plan on concocting out there.
Darla -  That woman can make anything out of nothing. I need a bitching shelter.
Harry Potter - He's full of magic. I need entertainment.
Tinkerbell - She can fly and check out the island for me while I sit on my ass and catch a tan
Juliette - She is strong. No climbing trees for coconuts here. She can punch it and presto!
Sean Kendrick - Okay, maybe not him per say but his narrator. I could listen to him forever
Grimalkin - A pet to keep me company. He's a bit cocky, but he's a cat. #catperson

Clearly I gave this a lot of thought and I probably need a life. lol. :)

Jen's Picks:

I'm not gonna lie, I seriously thought about loading up my deserted island with just my favorite leading men, but I know me, and I'd get pretty bored with all that testosterone...after awhile, anyway. ;0) So, I included some of my favorite heroines, too, to keep me company. In no particular order:

Anna, Lola & Isla (Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door, Isla and the Happily Ever After) I figure are kind of like a package deal. They're all just too cute and funny and adorable not to have along on this adventure, though I'm sure they'll all miss their own leading men. Veronica Mars (The Million Dollar Tan Line) is a given. She's quirky and the girl I'm most likely to be besties with on the island. Josh Bennett (The Sea of Tranquilitywill be able to make us all furniture. :) Hermione Granger (Harry Potter) can magic us anything to the island, but I won't let her Apparate us back to civilization until I've had my fun. :P Wesley Ayers (The Archivedand his guy-liner are purely for my own enjoyment. Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games) can scout out the island for us and help keep us all safe.  I'll admit that Noah Shaw (The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer) is here for the eye candy and the accent, but also for the beautiful words: “You can’t hurt me the way you think you can. But even if you could? I would rather die with the taste of you on my tongue than live and never touch you again. I’m in love with you, Mara. I love you. No matter what you do.” I regret nothing. Joe Fontaine (The Sky is Everywhere) will keep us entertained with his musical genius, as well as the bat bat bat of his eyelashes. (I have a thing for eyes...I'm an eye-girl. It should be noted that my hubby has fantastic blue-gray eyes and long, beautiful lashes.) Nikolai Lantsov (Siege and Storm) will keep everyone on their toes with his antics and will provide much-needed levity. And Captain Chaol Westfall (Throne of Glass) and his handsome yet serious demeanor is here to keep everyone in line, and above all else, to keep me company. :D
