In My Mailbox #51

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.  It's a weekly meme where we all get to brag about the books and swag we got in the mail, for review, won in contests, etc.

Hey, guys!  I'm on vacation, so I won't be responding to comments or visiting or announcing winners until I get back on Tuesday.  But I have posts scheduled each day, so you won't want for any of my [crazy] musings and ramblings.  :D

Still trying to keep the influx of books to a minimum here at the end of the year, but I did get a few goodies this week...

For Review:

Midnight City by J. Barton Mitchell - ALIENS!!!  I actually confused this novel with another one when I requested it on Netgalley, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited about reading it.  :)

Purchased:

The Shadow Cats by Rae Carson, a novella/short story set in the Fire and Thorns world - So, I had decided after The Girl of Fire and Thrones that I wasn't going to read The Shadow Cats.  I don't know...there was just something about Alodia that rubbed me the wrong way, and I didn't want to read from her POV.  But after everything that happened in The Crown of Embers, I'm curious now.

Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi, a novella/short story set in the Shatter Me world - I am so excited to read this story, which is told from Warner's POV.  His obsession with Juliette intrigues me in the most confounding way.  I mean, he's the bad guy, but I'm kind of rooting for him.  I just know there's so much more to his story. Also, I hope you'll stop by and enter the giveaway on my stop of the Happily Ever After Giveaway Hop, which starts early next week.

  1. Dude, you must let me know how Shadow Cats is because I've been debating whether it's worth it to buy a copy. And I have an ARC of Midnight City that I keep forgetting about. I've heard cool things.
