In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It's a weekly meme where we all get to brag about the books and swag we got in the mail, for review, won in contests, etc.
Some great new titles up for grabs on Netgalley and Edelweiss, and as you can see, I couldn't help myself. :P Here's what I scored this week:
For Review:
Thank you, Bloomsbury, Entangled Publishing, Netgalley, HarperCollins & Edelweiss for the review copies!!!
Vengeance by Megan Miranda - Hells yeah! I just listed this one in my Top Ten Sequels I'm Dying to Get My Hands On. I can't wait to read this...it's from Decker's POV!!!
Ink is Thicker Than Water by Amy Spalding - I still have The Reese Malcolm List sitting unread on my Kindle, but it's not for lack of interest. I foresee acquiring this book making me even more excited to read that one.
Talker 25 by Joshua McCune - I only know of this one because of Tea Time, but it does sound intriguing.
Exile by Kevin Emerson - This will be my first book by this author, but I love the music aspect already.
The Taking by Kimberly Derting - I've loved everything I've read by Derting, and I have no doubt that this book will be another great book from this author.
Life by Committee by Corey Ann Haydu - Dagnabit, this is a good reminder that I still need to read OCD Love Story.
Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman - At first, I thought this story might not be for me, but every time I see it, I have to re-read that summary, and I finally decided I want this. That era has always fascinated me...
Purchased:
Champion by Marie Lu - Such a stunning conclusion to this trilogy. Loved it
Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker - Continuing this series on audiobook. Cain and Charlie's stories are both intriguing, though a little far-fetched. Review coming soon.
So, that's my haul. How about you? What did you get this week?
Reviews:
Promotional/Discussion Posts: Eh, still wasn't feeling very talkative this week...I concentrated on reading mostly.
Jen's Currently Reading/Listening To:
Just starting this one, but I already love it based on that premise. And I definitely need a cute read like this right now. Feel like I've been reading some darker fare and needed something light-hearted. =) Just finished an audio yesterday and didn't want to start one over the weekend, as I'll be catching up on blog stuff in anticipation of being out of town next weekend for Mendy's 30th birthday.

Yay Jen I'm glad you enjoyed Champion! Can't wait for my copy to arrive, it sounds like it was way better than Allegiant. I saw Prisoner of Night and Fog and didn't request it because like you, it sounds like it's not really my thing. That may change when I see reviews though.
ReplyDeleteHere's my STS this week.
I need to read Champion so bad! Glad you loved it :) I also got The Taking this week, and I'm looking forward to it. I was going to download Talker 25 and Exile as well, but decided I had too many eGalleys to read already :P
ReplyDeleteYou got some awesome books this week, hope you enjoy all of them!

Nice haul. I wasn't aware that Champion was out until I saw it on someone else's STS post. Come check out my stack as well.

ReplyDeleteThe Promise of Amazing sounds wonderful!
So many amazing books, Jen! I want to read Life by Committee even though I'm a bit nervous since I was so mixed by OCD Love Story. Ah, I can't wait to see your review of The Promise of Amazing because it looks AMAZING (yes, I meant to do that). That cover? Adorbs.
ReplyDeleteAwesome haul! Most of these are on my to-be-read.
