In My Mailbox #71

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.  It's a weekly meme where we all get to brag about the books and swag we got in the mail, for review, won in contests, etc.

Um, I may have gone a bit overboard at the used bookstore...both for myself and for my kiddo.  And now I have to reorganize my shelves again and add to the giveaway pile.  Look for a Spring Cleaning giveaway mid-March.  =)

For Review:

First up, I got this awesome stack of ARCs from Around the World ARC Tours for making a donation:

Love in the Time of Global Warming by Francesca Lia Block
In Too Deep by Coert Voorhees
Taken by Erin Bowman
September Girls by Bennett Madison
Arclight by Josin L. McQuein
Pulse by Patrick Carman
A Want So Wicked by Suzanne Young

Some I already had as galleys from Netgalley/Edelweiss, so I didn't add too many to my reading list.  I'm most excited about that ARC of Love in the Time of Global Warming...the cover is Gorgeous with a capital G, and I'm tempted to make that my very next read, except it's an August release and I have so many others that should take priority.  We'll see...it's relatively short...I might be able to squeeze it in soon.  :D

Here are the galleys I received for review this week - click on the image to be taken to the Goodreads page:

The Collector (Dante Walker, #1)GoldenWeather Witch

Won/Gifted:

Every Other DayNobody

Won from Reading Lark

The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines, #3)

Won from JennRenee - yes, the same girl who gifted me her ARC a couple of weeks ago!  =)
You can check out my review of the audio here.

Purchased:

And here's where things get crazy...my Half Price Books haul...

This is my haul (left) & my daughter's (right) plus a bday
gift for my older sis - she has a thing for pop-ups

In case you can't tell what all I picked up, here's a closer look:

Somehow, I had forgotten that I already had an ARC of Falling Kingdoms, so I'll be giving this extra away soon.  Oh, well.  Also, I got The Truth About Forever for a buck.  I adore HPB!

I also bought these this week:

Splintered (Splintered, #1)Sever (The Chemical Garden, #3)Amy and Roger's Epic Detour

I listened to the audio for Splintered last month and LOVED it, so I bought myself a hardcover and grabbed one for my sis, too, since she's an even bigger Alice fan than I am.  I actually forgot to pre-order my copy of Sever, so that's why it's in this mix.  And I wanted a light, fluffy listen for work earlier this week, so I picked up Amy & Roger.  It did not disappoint.  :D

So, now that I've proven without a shadow of a doubt that I have absolutely no willpower when it comes to acquiring new reads, I'd like to know that I'm not alone.  What did you get this week?

  5. OMG... awesome haul! I really need to read A Want So Wicked soon, I loved A Need So Beautiful! Your haul from Half Price Books is amazing... I really want to read Hysteria, there are a lot of mixed reviews on it and those are my favorite types of books to read :P Dash & Lily's Book of Dares is one of my all time favorites - soo, sooo cute. Splintered is so pretty, one of the best covers in 2013 so far IMO. I hope you enjoy all of your fabulous books this week :D
