The Weekend Update - 4.11.15

So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit.  I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog.  Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things.  Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore.  April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays.  Stop by and say hi!  =)
I have Spring Fever so bad right now and all it's done here lately is rain. I want to be outdoors and soak up the beautiful weather before our two weeks of Spring in Texas are over and we're on to Summer. Hoping we'll get a bit of a respite from the wet stuff this weekend at some point so I can at least do a little gardening. Then it can rain and I'll just relocate to the back patio for some reading. :) I know I should be grateful for all of the rain because that means the rivers and lakes will be fuller when Summer does arrive and I want to get in some water, but it's cramping my style at the moment. :P Oh, well. It's not like I don't have enough reading to keep me company. Especially since I saw the Harper upload on EW and went a little overboard, as usual...

Anyway, here's what I scored this week:

Jen's Currently Reading/Listening To:

Mr. Kiss and Tell (Veronica Mars, #2)An Ember in the AshesI'm over half-way through now and I am SO in love with this story. It just builds and builds and builds and I'm so afraid of when the crescendo finally comes to a head! People keep asking for a sequel, too, which has me worried for many reasons, which I won't go into right now.

I had a review copy of this book, but I love Kristen Bell and had decided to wait for the audio so I could hear her narrate it again. Except she isn't. But I love Rebecca Loman as a narrator, so it's fine...and still worth the wait. ;)

  3. Soooo curious what you thought of End of Days! It's raining here too and I'm grateful but I'd wanted to do some plant shopping. Oh well...maybe next weekend. I DLed some from EW too. Those Harper ones were far too tempting.

  4. Great haul! Dumplin' and Dreamland are two that I'm looking forward to. I can't wait until Off the Page comes out!! I've been waiting for it to come out since I read the first book when it first came out. I even met Jodi Picoult at an author signing and it was the best experience. I'll definitely be looking forward to your review on it!!

  5. I have an intense feeling of spring fever as well, which is weird because I have allergies. I love your little Funko pops. They are so adorable! I'm really curious about A Whole New World. Hope you love it.:D

  7. Ahh rain is frustrating. xD I mean, I KNOW it's good, but I have a puppy and he hates rain, so we just kind of run in circles around the house being moody together when it pours. XD ZOMG I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO WALK ON EARTH A STRANGER. It looks beautiful. x)
