The Rhodes Family - A Sims Story

I love the Sims!

True Story. lol. This Gif I found pretty much sums up my obsession. I don't always play the sims to make videos. Sometimes I just like to play! To build a family, or house and just see where it goes from there. Over the Holiday I've been doing just that. My daughter picked out an expansion pack I didn't have yet, "pet's" and I decided I had to get some use out of it. :)

So here is my latest family.

Meet the Rhodes!

Ben and Stephanie Rhodes have been married for a while. They met in high school. They are established in their careers and have a beautiful house. I wish I could say I built it, but I just moved them in.

They live in the town of Hidden Springs and just adopted their first pet! A kitty name Ryah.

Stephanie finds much enjoyment from torturing the poor cat. lol. But Ryah doesn't seem to mind much.

Winter is upon them. I figured since it's the Holiday Season, we would start out with that theme.

Yay for Sim snow.. It's only a dusting at the moment, but according to the weather forecast, there will be moderate snow fall tomorrow. Snowmen in my future.

That is not the only exciting thing going on with the Rhodes.. they are expecting a bundle of joy soon.

Unsure of the gender, because Sims does not have ultrasound. Bummer.

But they are excited, regardless! :)

I've been dying to play a family through. I them to have at least 2 or 3 kids, and I want to play them through all the way into college.. "University Expansion Pack". I haven't had a chance to really play with that yet either.

Stay tuned next week for their birth story. lol.

Please forgive my nerdiness. :P

I need to figure out how to make these adorable Sims gifs.

  1. Don't worry I love the Sims too! Have you played Sims 4 yet?

    1. I haven't! I heard some bad things about it so I haven't taken the plunge and purchased yet. Sims 2 used to have somewhat of "Lot" play. You would have to load up a new lot in order for your sim to go anywhere. Sim 3 isn't like that, you can explore the whole town. I heard that Sims 4 kind of goes back to that "Lot" System, and I'm not sure I would like that. So I'm holding off. :)

  2. I love the Sims! I play Sims Freeplay on my phone all the time. I loved Sims 1 and grabbed Sims 2 for free. Never bought Sims 3 or 4. I really liked Sims Bustin Out on PS2. I usually like the simple ones. My friend liked the Cast Away one but I haven't tried it.

    1. Sims 3 is my favorite so far. I haven't tried 4 yet, but Sims 3 blows 2 away. :) I've never played the ones on consoles or on my phone. Just PC.

  3. I really love the Sims too! I used to play it all the time on my Playstation 2 back when I was younger but I've been meaning to get back into it on my Xbox. Awesome family!

  4. Oh my gosh, I'm addicted to Sims as well! I have both Sims 3 & Sims 4-which isn't as bad as some are saying. Yes, they took a step back in the "lot" playing but there are other features that make up for it.
Anyways, love love love it! Your family is adorable and I can't wait to see the birth story 😉

  6. SIMS! Oh, how I love Sims. I like to do legacy challenges, but I usually wind up using cheat codes to finish them. *shifty eyes*

University is so much fun, but a lot of people have technical glitches with it. I have to take out all my script mods before sending a Sim to college, otherwise they never go home. They graduate and then stay there, stuck on campus, never able to leave... Anyway, if you decide to do that, make sure you back up your game before sending anyone out!
