Title: The Promise of Amazing
Author: Robin Constantine
Series: n/a
Publisher: Balzer + Bray
Publication Date: December 31, 2013

Wren Caswell is average. Ranked in the middle of her class at Sacred Heart, she’s not popular, but not a social misfit. Wren is the quiet, “good” girl who's always done what she's supposed to—only now in her junior year, this passive strategy is backfiring. She wants to change, but doesn’t know how.

Grayson Barrett was the king of St. Gabe’s. Star of the lacrosse team, top of his class, on a fast track to a brilliant future—until he was expelled for being a “term paper pimp.” Now Gray is in a downward spiral and needs to change, but doesn’t know how.

One fateful night their paths cross when Wren, working at her family’s Arthurian-themed catering hall, performs the Heimlich on Gray as he chokes on a cocktail weenie, saving his life literally and figuratively. What follows is the complicated, awkward, hilarious, and tender tale of two teens shedding their pasts, figuring out who they are—and falling in love.

OMG...that cover is adorable!  Adorable, I tells ya!  And the title!  And that summary!  And their names!  And how they met!!!!!!!  I don't think I've been this excited about a contemporary since Meant to Be!  Please, please, please let this show up on Edelweiss!!!  Pretty please?

Now that you know what I'm dying to read, what are you waiting on this week?  Feel free to share it in the comments or leave a link so I can stop by!

  1. Don't know why but that guy on the cover reminds me of Ashton Kutcher. Nice pick this week.

  11. I mean, yes, adorable couple, title, summary. LOL at choking on a COCKTAIL WEENIE (and nice that she knows the Heimlich). I think what bothers me about the cover--adorable as it is--is the placement of "of" and "the." Keep expecting to see it centered. And while their pose is cute, I'd love it if Wren was teasing Gray a bit too. :)

    1. Maybe that's so that those words can be seen better since they're not as big as the others? Truthfully, I didn't even notice the placement until you pointed it out. :P
