Everyone has secrets.
Some are buried so deep, their existence is forgotten.
But a secret never told can turn into a lie.
And in love, a lie is one thing:
Poison.

Reid's in love with Dori, though she hasn't told her parents that she's fallen hard for the guy they'd forbidden her to see. Now she's leaving for college, and Reid's promise not to push her to go public is wearing thin, especially when she can't - or won't - return those three important words he wants to hear.

Five years ago, Brooke and Reid were a Thing. That relationship is long gone, detonated amid allegations of cheating - but they still share a secret that would stun everyone they know and alter public perception of them both if it ever comes out. And it's about to do just that.

Here Without You is the fourth, final installment in the Between the Lines series, which includes: Between the Lines, Where You Are, and Good For You.

I wasn't sure I'd like this series when I picked up the first book from Audible, but it quickly became one of those that had me giggling and finding reasons to listen longer.  And I even like Reid now, even though I couldn't stand how douchey he was in the first book.  So, yeah, it's fair to say I'm excited about this final book and seeing that big secret finally coming to light.  Good times...

Title: Red
Author: Alison Cherry
Series: n/a
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: October 8, 2013

Felicity St. John has it all—loyal best friends, a hot guy, and artistic talent. And she’s right on track to win the Miss Scarlet pageant. Her perfect life is possible because of just one thing: her long, wavy, coppery red hair.

Having red hair is all that matters in Scarletville. Redheads hold all the power—and everybody knows it. That’s why Felicity is scared down to her roots when she receives an anonymous note:

I know your secret.

Because Felicity is a big fake. Her hair color comes straight out of a bottle. And if anyone discovered the truth, she’d be a social outcast faster than she could say "strawberry blond." Her mother would disown her, her friends would shun her, and her boyfriend would dump her. And forget about winning that pageant crown and the prize money that comes with it—money that would allow her to fulfill her dream of going to art school.

Felicity isn’t about to let someone blackmail her life away. But just how far is she willing to go to protect her red cred?

Red cred.  Heh.  I am intrigued by this blackmail you speak of.  Also, having to fake it to fit in....as a redhead?  There's something...new.  Hope this is Mean Girls funny.  =)

  4. I've never read the Between the Lines series, but I've heard good things. I'm excited to Red, too. Mean Girls funny would be awesome. I can't help but wonder why everyone doesn't dye their hair red, though, if that's an option. Great picks!

  6. I just finished reading... err, listening to Between the Lines last week. I'm still totally hatin' on Reid, but I'm happy to hear that may change as I continue on with the series. :) I really enjoyed it, so I'm definitely going to continue on with the series. And the audio was just wonderful, so I'll continue going that route for now. :) Great pick!

Red sounds awesome! Red cred. Hehe... priceless. :D

  12. I liked EASY so I really need to pick up TW's other series--I'm glad to hear you like it! RED is such a weird concept to me, but I'm curious about it, too. I may wait to see what people have to say about it first, though. ;)
