Taken by Erin Bowman - Boys being mysteriously taken at midnight on their eighteenth birthday. I'm all kinds of curious as to why. Plus, it sounds like it's written from a male POV, which I love.

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken - All I needed to hear was "frightening abilities" to know I wanted to read this book. Plus, everyone I know has really enjoyed it.

The Demon Lover by Juliet Dark - I'd seen a lot of positive feedback from friends who've read this one, so I decided to check it out myself. Not YA but not far from my usual read, so I'm game. =)

Not Exactly a Love Story by Audrey Couloumbis - I'm all about quirky little love stories these days, and this one sounds super fun! And it's set in the 70s!!!

ReplyDeleteYou got some really great books. I want to read Taken, and have had my eye on The Darkest Mind. I have read the first book in The Birth Marked Trilogy, and it was good. Hope you Enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Darkest Minds now and recently finished Not Exactly a Love Story. Curious to see what you think about that one. It's like old-school contemporary YA -- no vampires or paranormal powers or swoony stuff. I enjoyed it!

WOW, what a great bunch of swag you won! Shadow & Bone is outstandingly good and one of my 2012 favourites, I hope you like it too! :) Also, Taken's cover has me drooling and I love YA books from a male's POV. I hope you enjoy your goodies. :)
