"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's WoW selections are...

Title: Premeditated
Author: Josin L. McQuein
Series: n/a
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: October 8, 2013

A week ago, Dinah’s cousin Claire cut her wrists.

Five days ago, Dinah found Claire’s diary and discovered why.

Three days ago, Dinah stopped crying and came up with a plan.

Two days ago, she ditched her piercings and bleached the black dye from her hair.

Yesterday, knee socks and uniform plaid became a predator’s camouflage.

Today, she’ll find the boy who broke Claire.

By tomorrow, he’ll wish he were dead.

I read Josin's debut Arclight earlier this year and was in awe of the story and how unique it was.  And now I'm eagerly awaiting Premeditated...I love a great revenge story, even more so when murder or foul-play is afoot!

Title: Right of Way
Author: Lauren Barnholdt
Series: n/a
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Publication Date: July 9, 2013

Can a road trip repair a romance gone wrong? Find out in this standalone companion to Lauren Barnholdt’s Two-way Street.

Here are Peyton and Jace, meeting on vacation. Click! It’s awesome, it’s easy, it’s romantic. This is the real deal.

Unless it isn’t. Because when you’re in love, you don’t just stop calling one day. And you don’t keep secrets. Or lie. And when your life starts falling apart, you’re supposed to have the other person to lean on.

Here are Peyton and Jace again, broken up but thrown together on a road trip. One of them is lying about the destination. One of them is pretending not to be leaving something behind. And neither of them is prepared for what’s coming on the road ahead…

Jen just picked up Two Way Street by this author from the used bookstore, and though I haven't read it yet, I'm eager to check out more from this author.  And apparently, she's written quite a lot!  PLUS, road trip book, yay!  =)
