So, since my end-of-the-week post isn't just about what I got in my mailbox or on my Kindle each week -- though that is a big part of it, I won't lie -- I decided to change up the title and intro a bit. I might tweak the format a bit over the next few weeks, but for the most part, it'll contain the same stuff: stuff I got, stuff I did, and stuff that's coming up on the blog. Plus, I get to use the awesome GIF you see here and blow kisses to all the people who sent me lovely books and bookish things. Oh, and I've started linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews since I'm not using a specific meme title anymore. April's also doing her own Stacking the Shelves posts on Sundays. Stop by and say hi! =)
Man, I am SO ready for Spring. I'm ready to get outside and garden. I'm ready for it not to be dark at 6:30pm. I'm ready for the weeks to stop dragging ass. And I am so ready to do some reading outdoors! My hammock is beckoning!
I have to say, we've had a really mild winter so far, so I really have no reason to complain. We've had a few weekends already with spring-like temperatures, and we've been able to get outside and enjoy it, riding four-wheelers and fishing in the pond. Katie even stole the hammock out from under me last weekend so she could lay in it with her Kindle. But we've still got time for a cold snap and Texas' weather is weird, anyway, so there's no telling what tomorrow will bring. :)
Okay, okay. On to the books. Here's what I scored this week...
From Publishers:
I loved the first book in Jessica Spotswood's Cahill Witch series, and I've been meaning to finish it for some time now. But now I have this beauty in my hands, so the other series will have to wait even longer. :P
Thanks so much to Penguin for these beautiful finished copies!
Traded:
The lovely Asheley helped me complete my collection of Susan Ee books with this ARC of Angelfall, thanks to #booksfortrade!
Gifted:
Thank you so much to my lovely #otspsecretsister Helena for this lovely final package. I can't believe it's over. I'm going to miss your beautiful letters each month!
Purchased:
Went to the #StarsAbove tour stop here in North Texas last weekend and got myself a signed copy of Stars Above, along with getting everything else Lunar Chronicles signed. =)
So, that's my haul. =) What fabulous bookmail did you get this week?
The Week in Review:
Reviews:
Promotional/Discussion Posts:
- #WoW - Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge
- The Lunar Chronicles Book Tag
Currently Reading:
I just finished Rebel of the Sands, which was AMAZING, and I haven't picked my next read. These are all in the queue, though. I have no idea which one to read next...AGOS scares me. And I kind of want to say screw the review books completely and re-read Every Breath and Every Word so that I can finally read Every Move and see what all the fuss is about.
Currently Listening:
My Fire and Thorns re-read via audio is coming to a close, as I'm now on the last book. It's been grand, though. I love coming back to a book and loving it just as much as -- if not more than -- the first time. #HectorForever

I'm dying to read Rebel of the Sands! I was declined for it on Netgalley, which gives me much sadness. :(

I really enjoyed A Curious Beginning. Hope you love it too! Great haul this week.
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful books! I also have Fangirl, but it is still unread on my Kindle. I would love to read A Gathering Of Shadows, as V.E. Schwab is such a talented writer. I think I would read The Forbidden Wish next. It looks like a fun book. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI am a slacker when it comes to the Lunar Chronicles. Have you read them yet? or is this your first time receiving them? Hope you enjoy your haul :)
