Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here's what I'm teasing this week:
Title: The Treatment
Author: Suzanne Young
Series: The Program, book #2
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Publication Date: April 29, 2014
Source: received from publisher via Edelweiss
Purchase: Amazon | Barnes & Noble
This is nowhere near being my next scheduled read, but the minute I got the approval, I had to start it. I mean, there haven't been too many dystopian novels that I could say really surprised me, but The Program did. So, naturally, I had to start it's sequel immediately. And I'm already loving it. And Dallas, a new character, is kind of awesome, as you can see from the teaser. =)

Can Sloane and James survive the lies and secrets surrounding them, or will The Program claim them in the end? Find out in this sequel to The Program, which Publishers Weekly called “chilling and suspenseful.”My teaser:
How do you stop an epidemic?
Sloane and James are on the run after barely surviving the suicide epidemic and The Program. But they’re not out of danger. Huge pieces of their memories are still missing, and although Sloane and James have found their way back to each other, The Program isn’t ready to let them go.
Escaping with a group of troubled rebels, Sloane and James will have to figure out who they can trust, and how to take down The Program. But for as far as they’ve come, there’s still a lot Sloane and James can’t remember. The key to unlocking their past lies with the Treatment—a pill that can bring back forgotten memories, but at a high cost. And there’s only one dose.
Ultimately when the stakes are at their highest, can Sloane and James survive the many lies and secrets surrounding them, or will The Program claim them in the end?
"Gloat? Sloane, I don't want you to be miserable. And I definitely don't want James unhappy. Yes. I think you love each other to a fault, but in a world like this, being one half of Romeo and Juliet is stupid. I'll take my changes staying single."
